Bikram Yoga – 90 minutes.
This was my first Bikram Yoga class. Compared to my usual workouts, the yoga poses are interminable and on the margins of painful. The room is sauna-like and predictably begins to stink after about an hour. If you do it — plan to be challenged – physically and mentally. This is a combination of balance, coordination, extreme stretching, strength, impulse control and meditation. The poses target the limits of your joints and sort of act like a massage on the muscles.
